| In accordance
with the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, the National
Health Act and the Constitution of the SANA, any person registered
with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa [AHPCSA],
as a Naturopathic Practitioner, or as a Naturopathic Student is
eligible for membership of the Association upon receipt of the
application form and relevant payment of membership fees.
CATEGORIES OF SANA MEMBERSHIP
Full Member category 1
Any person registered with the Allied Health Professions Council
of South Africa [AHPCSA],
as a Naturopathic Practitioner is eligible for Full membership
of the Association.
Full Membership Fee for 2011 is R600.00
Full Member category 2
Retired, 70 and older, UWC Fulltime Academic Staff
Full Membership Fee for 2011 is R 400.00
1. Note that this is relevant only to complete retirement and
does not provide for semi-retirement.
2. Only relevant for fulltime staff members
Student Member
Students in full-time Naturopathy study at UWC, and so registered
with the AHPCSA, pay only R100.00 for 2011.
Life Member
Members who have been Full Members of the Association for at least
25 [twenty five] years in aggregate, shall automatically become
Life Members. The Association's National Board may, if justifiable,
at its discretion grant Life Membership to a Member who does not
meet this requirement. Life Members enjoy all the rights and privileges
of Full Membership, but pay no membership fees.
Honorary Member
The National Board may elect prominent scientists and other persons
residing within or outside the Republic, as Honorary Members if
they have in the opinion of the Board made valuable contributions
to the advancement of Naturopathic science or to the welfare and
benefit of the Association.
Membership is free for Honorary Members.
A Subscription Service will shortly be available
to any member of the public with a special interest in Naturopathy.
This membership fee is annually renewable. Subscribers will receive
information of public interest including the regular official
newsletter of the SANA and any media releases. This service does
not entitle the holder to any rights or privileges afforded to
a full member of the association in terms of the Constitution.
The proposed Subscription Fee for 2011 is R200-00
